Santogold + Tickle Party = Awesome

Rising art rock/New Wave star Santogold has teamed up with Miami-based artists FriendsWithYou to make a new, must-see short film, "Tickle Party." Using Santogold’s song "Say Aha," the film employs a number of techniques – stop motion, puppetry and 3D – to tell the story of dancing, cloud-like "fuzzies" who encounter a monster that cries rubies. Sounds great, right? Well, maybe words don’t do it justice. Just check out the video here.

If you like the song in “Tickle Party,” be sure to look for Santogold’s self-titled debut album, which is set to drop later in the year, April 22. The album comes courtesy of Downtown Recordings, home to such heavy-hitters as Gnarls Barkley, Justice, Cold War Kids and Spank Rock.

Bloc Party's new album on iTunes

Their sophomore record "A Weekend in the City" isn't very different from their first and very ambitious effort "Silent Alarm". They haven't evolved much sonically or lyrically, which I guess is a good thing considering how great "Silent Alarm" was!

More "start" than "end" for Editors

UK's Editors have announced their sophomore album An End Has A Start (Epic/Fader) will be released stateside on July 17, just in time for a fall tour. After heavy traveling in support of 2005's The Back Room, the band is not only ready to hit the road again, but after playing shows around the globe, their new record reflects what they're calling "an over-populated but exciting world."
