Santogold + Tickle Party = Awesome

Rising art rock/New Wave star Santogold has teamed up with Miami-based artists FriendsWithYou to make a new, must-see short film, "Tickle Party." Using Santogold’s song "Say Aha," the film employs a number of techniques – stop motion, puppetry and 3D – to tell the story of dancing, cloud-like "fuzzies" who encounter a monster that cries rubies. Sounds great, right? Well, maybe words don’t do it justice. Just check out the video here.

If you like the song in “Tickle Party,” be sure to look for Santogold’s self-titled debut album, which is set to drop later in the year, April 22. The album comes courtesy of Downtown Recordings, home to such heavy-hitters as Gnarls Barkley, Justice, Cold War Kids and Spank Rock.

Bloc Party's new album on iTunes

Their sophomore record "A Weekend in the City" isn't very different from their first and very ambitious effort "Silent Alarm". They haven't evolved much sonically or lyrically, which I guess is a good thing considering how great "Silent Alarm" was!

Bloc versus White

Bloc Party's Kele Okereke has accused Jack White of being "treacherous" and only concerned with selling records.

The best alternative release of 2006 was Elbow's "Leaders of the Free World." They are incredible, so if you haven't bought this album yet, do yourself a favor and get it.

Any new cool music?

Hey guyz,

Looking for music recommendations in the alternative/rock area. I like bands like Rock Klills Kid, Keane and Snow Patrol. Anything with similar sound would be great!

Peace out!
